Line-Up Announced for NME’s Legendary Tour

Django Django, Miles Kane, Palma Violets and Peace are to take to the road on the legendary NME Awards Tour 2013, playing a series of sure-fire sell out concerts across the length of the UK.

As one of the most important events in the musical calendar, the NME Awards Tour has been instrumental in launching the careers of some of the biggest acts in music today, including the Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and Florence and the Machine.

This time it’s the turn of some of the industries newest shooting stars.

Taking the opening slot is Birmingham’s newest musical export, Peace. Having received high praise for touring with the likes of the Manic Street Preachers and The Mystery Jets, Peace are bound to gain even momentum on this prestigious tour.

Next are South London’s Palma Violets. Emerging from relative nothingness in 2012, Palma Violets has become one of the most hyped and exciting new bands in a decade. They will be performing tracks from their forthcoming album which is currently in production.

The tours main support slot goes to Miles Kane. As one of the stars of 2012, Miles has already established himself on the live circuit, and will be showcasing works from his Top 20 album Colour of the Trap ahead of the imminent release of his second album.

Unleashing their modern psychedelia on the UK, the headlining the NME Awards Tour 2013 is the critically acclaimed Django Django. The band garnered acclaim after releasing their self titled debut album, and it was even nominated for the highly sought after 2012 Mercury Prize.

People attending the concerts can contribute to the buzz on Twitter by tagging their tweets with #NMEawards.

An exclusive ticket presale begins at 9am on Wednesday 28th November at www.NME.com/tickets, with tickets going on general sale at 9am on Friday 30th November at www.ticketmaster.com and www.gigsandtours.com.
