The Boss finally confirms 2013 UK and Ireland tour dates

After much speculation as to whether he would return after the now infamous Hard Rock Calling incident, Bruce Springsteen has finally announced a handful of highly anticipated UK dates for his 2013 Wrecking Ball World Tour.

Despite the rest of the dates of the European leg of the tour being announced, the UK and Ireland dates were not confirmed until very recently.

The last appearance Bruce made in the UK was at the Hard Rock Calling festival, where the power to the stage was pulled after Springsteen (joined on stage by Sir Paul McCartney) carried on rocking past the allotted curfew.

However fans will be over the moon to hear news of the upcoming shows. The venues The Boss will be hitting with his E Street band are London’s Wembly Stadium, Glasgow’s Hampden Park, Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, Limerick’s Thomond Park, Cork’s Pairc Ui Chaoimh and Belfast’s King’s Hall (see full list of dates below).

The UK and Ireland shows are spread across June and July of 2013, and tickets are on sale for the concerts (as well as all the other shows on the European leg of the tour) now.

Tickets for the Limerick, Cork and Belfast dates go on sale on the 6th December at www.ticketmaster.ie, with tickets for London, Glasgow and Coventry going on sale on the 7th at www.ticketmaster.com. They are also available to purchase through Bruce Springsteen’s official website www.brucespringsteen.net.

In addition to this exciting news, Springsteen has also been confirmed as the headline act for the annual Rock In Rio Festival on the 15th September 2013 – a quarter of a century after the only concert of his illustrious career in the country at the Palmeiras Stadium.
