Rapper Eminem to headline Reading and Leeds festivals 2013

The real Slim Shady himself Eminem is the first headliner announced for 2013’s Reading and Leeds festivals, playing the Main Stage and joining a bill including Mercury Prize Winners Alt-J.

Eminem first headlined Reading and Leeds 11 years ago, with his most recent UK festival appearance being at the V Festival in 2011, where he played a crowd pleasing set.

Organisers of the festival have also introduces a deposit scheme, where fans can pay a £50 deposit which guarentees them a place at the annual festivals. They then have until the end of March to pay the full balance.

To add to the excitement it has been announced that Reading and Leeds 2013 will also feature three new music stages, which means that a much wider scope of music will be on offer for fans. The layouts will also be altered slightly, with the Reading Festival having a second entrance added, while Leeds Festival is being opened up so that attendees can explore the woods at night
