New dates added to Robbie Williams’ Take The Crown summer tour

Due to the massive demand Mr Entertainment himself Robbie Williams has added extra dates to his Take The Crown tour which will be heading across Europe during the summer months.

Excited to head back out on the road, Robbie said “I want to deliver a huge tour while I still can and while I’m still capable. I want to put my stamp down and go ‘remember me, this is what I’m good at’”

The tour was originally scheduled to kick off on the 19th June with a two night stint at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and end on the 20th August at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds in Estonia. However increased demand has allowed for the tour to be stretched, now beginning 5 days earlier at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and ending 5 days later at the Viking Stadion in Norway (full tour dates can be found at the end of the article).

Extra Take The Crown tour dates

22/06/2013 – Etihad Stadium, Manchester, UK

The tour was originally announced during a press conference in December 2012. During the conference Robbie acknowledged that his previous musical ventures Rudebox andReality Killed the Video star were both relative flops, however he feels confident enough in his latest album Take the Crown to head out on the road with it and give it the love, attention and (most importantly) promotion that the previous two albums failed to get.

The big surprise of the press conference was the revelation that pop sensation Olly Murs would be accompanying Robbie on the tour as a support act “He’s smashing it,” Robbie enthused “he’s having hit after hit and I see a lot of myself in him!” The pair have previously sung together during the finals of the 2009 X Factor in which Olly was the runner up, and Robbie dropped some sly hints that he pair may once again duet on a song or two during the tour.

Including the 9 added dates the tour currently has 26 scheduled concerts, the most recent of which was announced via Robbie’s official Twitter account.
