In preparation for his extensive US tour and album release, James McCartney will be appearing at London’s Ambassadors Theatre for one night only to road test his brand new show before heading over to America.
On the back of a successful 2012, James McCartney (son of Wings legend Sir Paul McCartney) is making sure that 2013 is just as – if not more – exciting, action packed and successful.
2010 saw the release of his debut EP Available Light and 2011 brought the followup EP Close at Hand and a compilation of the two entitled The Complete EP Collection that included five bonus tracks. Now having finally finished the recording of his first full length album, Me, James is ready to step out of his fathers long shadow and show the world how good a musician he really is.
James plays many of the instruments himself, however with his dad behind the mixing desk, producing and chipping in to provide a musical idea or two, Me is guaranteed to be fresh, vibrant and exciting, and James’ passion and love for what he does is sure to come across in a live setting.
Speaking about his upcoming album, James said: “I wanted to make a record that would be intimate, deeply personal, and honest, an album that would say, ‘This is who I am…both musically and personally. This is me.'”
Accompanying himself on guitar, James’ powerful vocals and skillfully written songs will take centre stage in one of the finest venues London has to offer. This preview will not only be a debut for some new songs, but will give James and the band a chance to iron out the finer details before the intense two month US tour. The tour will also be followed by a number of additional shows and appearances across Europe.
Tickets for the warm-up gig can be purchased for £20 (premium £30) directly from The Ambassadors Theatre website.
All other ticket information for the US tour can be found at James McCartney’s official website.
