The announcement promises to bring Macca’s music to some places that he has never previously played before. Only two dates have been confirmed so far: his first ever concert in Poland at Warsaw’s National Stadium on the 22nd June, and Vienna’s Happel Stadium on 27th June. Many more dates are to be released over the next few weeks.
Rumors are rife about concerts planned for Brazil and Argentina, however it is advised that these rumors are taken with a pinch of salt, as nothing is officially official until news is announced on Paul’s official website.
In February Paul was confirmed to be bringing his show to the 2013 Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, TN (full story here). Other acts on the diverse bill include Mumford & Sons, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Wilco, Billy Idol, ZZ Top, R Kelly and Bjork.
Also in the pipeline for 2013 is a brand new studio album that Paul has been recording with several producers including Giles Martin (son of ledgendary Beatles producer George Martin) and Mark Ronson. His current touring band Abe Laboriel Jr, Brian Ray, Rusty Anderson and Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens have also recently been in London helping to record material for the new album.
