Dubbed the “Coolest Song In The World” by Steven Van Zandt after receiving a neat little radio edit for his radio show, The Bayonets’ debut single Sucker For Love is causing ever increasing ripples in the music business as the bands popularity continues to grow.
Van Zandt, guitarist for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and star of HBO’s ‘The Sopranos’, was quick to pick up on The Bayonets’ bouncy, raw and rocking single Sucker For Love after it’s Valentines Day release.
He took such a shine to the song that he created his own ‘Little Steven Edit’ that is currently being featured as the “Coolest Song In The World”, a regular feature on the Underground Garage radio show on Sirius XM Radio that he founded and has supervised since 2003.
The original single ran for 4:20, whereas Steven’s radio edit omits several sections of the song to get it down to a more radio friendly 3:48. Despite losing 22 seconds of rocking, bouncy bliss, Sucker For Love (Little Steven Edit) still maintains every last drop of charm and coolness that the original track is bathed in.
The edit received many requests from listeners and was played frequently as it will be for the next several weeks, and with both Steven Van Zandt’s backing plus a wider radio release on the cards the track is sure to do very well.
