The Bayonets set their sights on the Grammys PLUS album news

Indie rock band The Bayonets have received the massively surprizing (yet more than welcome) news that their first single Sucker For Love is being considered for nomination for the 56th Annual Grammys to win not one but two of the prestigious music awards.

Released in February, Sucker For Love has been put on early 2014 Grammy ballot for nomination in two categories: Best Rock Performance, Duo or Group, and Best Rock Video.

The bouncy pop rock song won the hearts of music lovers around the world, drawing people in hook, line and sinker with it’s catchy riff, infectious beat and excited delivery.

Despite this only being the early stages, The Bayonets, consisting of Brian Ray, Oliver Leiber and Lucrecia Lopez Sanz, are more than happy that their work is even being considered for one of the music businesses grandest and most coveted award.

The shortlist of nominated artists and acts will be announced on December 6th , with the final awards ceremony taking place on January 26th 2014. You can keep right up to date on the Grammys news on the official website.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE…

The word on the street is that Brian and Oliver have recorded new songs destined for The Bayonets’ highly anticipated first full studio album and while details are sketchy at the minute, the album could be released as early as spring 2014.
