Rocker Liam Gallagher has urged fans not to go out and purchase the upcoming 20th anniversary remastered reissue of the classic Oasis album Definitely Maybe, taking to Twitter to tell his 780,000 followers: “don’t buy into it”.
The classic album contains many Oasis hit songs including Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, Live Forever and Cigarettes and Alcohol, and is set for release on May 19th. It will eventually be followed up the bands later albums What’s The Story (Morning Glory)? and Be Here Now.
All of the reissues will be completely remastered and contain previously unheard takes and demos.
However former Oasis singer, who now fronts Beady Eye, took to social networking site Twitter, saying:
This bizarre move follows news last week that Beady Eye had parted ways with their management company, Quest, and had withdrawn from their scheduled appearance at this year’s Coachella festival in Indio, California.
