Since news broke of Harrison Ford sustaining an injury on the set of Star Wars Episode VII, the internet has been rife with rumors of the release date being potentially being pushed back. Luckily worries have been allayed with a spokesperson confirming their would be no change.
There have been emergency meetings between film making executives at Pinewood Studios regarding the matter of Harrison Ford’s injury and how it will affect the schedule, leading many movie goers to fear the worst.
However fan website www.TheForce.net reached out to Lucasfilm for a possible comment on the meeting and reported the following news: Lucasfilm would not comment on the extent of the production delays, but a company spokesperson told TFN, “There is no change in the release date.”
So it seems that while the filming schedule may have to be rejigged and swapped and changed around, the powers that be are more than confident that Star Wars Episode VII will still be released on December 18th 2015.
