Lollapalooza 2015 headline acts announced

Lollapalooza 2015 headline acts announcedMetallica, Paul McCartney and Florence + the Machine have all recently been announced as the headline acts at the three-day-long Lollapalooza festival, making the 2015 music extravaganza the must-be place for music lovers this year.

This annual music festival began in 1991, and has grown exponentially each year, attracting more and more big name artists to perform in Grant Park, Chicago.

This year Wings and Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney will headline the first night (July 31st). This appearance will mark his very first time performing at the festival as he brings his mammoth, critically acclaimed Out There tour to town.

The next night (August 1st) Florence + the Machine will take to the stage to bring the evening to a close and the final night (August 2nd) will be rounded off with an undoubtedly wild and roaring performance from Metallica.

This will be Metallica’s second appearance at the musical event, first appearing in 1996…back when Lollapalooza was a travelling festival!

2015 marks music lover Sarah Marriot’s sixth consecutive pilgrimage to the festival. Travelling from Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Sarah said: “For me it’s all about Metallica, they’re the reason I’m going back again! Love them, love their music, they’re going to bring down the house. But It’ll definitely be cool to see some of the other acts. I’ll try to catch McCartney and some of the smaller acts if I can.”

Tickets are sure to be snapped up quick so people are advised to get hold of them as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. There are single day passes available to purchase as well as tickets that cover the entire 3 days.

You can find out about the artists performing as well as ticketing and all other information over on the Lollapalooza official website.
