Brian Ray confirms Bayonets live dates

The Bayonets recently announced they will be playing a string of live dates in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and today lead singer Brian Ray has finally confirmed when and where the band will be playing.

Brian and Bayonets co-founder Oliver Leiber, backed by the popular local band Nube 9 (whose sole female member is Lucrecia López Sanz – coincidentally the sole female member of The Bayonets!), are expected to play their latest hits as well as songs from lead Singer Brian Ray’s back catalogue with a few rock ‘n’ roll classics thrown in for good luck.

May 10th 11:15 pm: TV show “Duro de Domar” (Channel 9)
May 11th 10.00 pm: Hotel Faena private acoustic show (6/7 songs)
May 12th 03.00 am: Mod mini show (5 songs)
May 12th 9.00 pm: Club MOD early full length show
May 13th 9.00 pm: Show at Mr. Jones blues bar

Brian also took to Facebook to say:

The Bayonets will try to add shows in other cities over the coming months, when it’s possible. The shows will feature…a set by Nube 9 of Argentina opening, then backing Oliver and me up on our set…hope to see you all soon! B

This isn’t the first time Brian has toured the region before: In 2011 he embarked upon his Tourette Del Sol, a 5-date mini tour that made stops in Panama City in Panama, Buenos Aires in Argentina and Sau Paulo in Brazil. Again taking to the stage with Beatles tribute band Nube 9, he played to packed venues promoting his most recent solo album This Way Up.

The mini-tour was a massive success, and it is hoped that The Bayonets will have just as much (if not more) success with their upcoming string of shows. So if you’re in Buenos Aires be sure to try catch them live and show your support!

The Bayonets debut single Sucker For Love did monumentally well, climbing to number 9 in the Classic Rock Radio charts, and their as-of-yet unnamed second single is currently being prepared for release (full story here).

Hi Josh! I co-manage The Bayonets Facebook Page with Brian. Yeah, we have quite a few friends in common, according to our Twitter followers lists. 😉 I have a few questions for you regarding permissions to link to your posts, etc. Could you possibly contact me personally on here or at randipie71@aol.com? Thanks!

  2. Hi Josh! I am following you in Twitter. Thanks for this valuable info! I had the great pleasure to serve as Brian’s translator on Press Conferences in 2011 and also helped on selling his material. He’s one of the kindest persons I’ve ever met. Greetings from Buenos Aires!!!
